As a multimedia producer, my goal is to make content accessible and exciting on any platform. I want to combine my classical producing skills with innovative, web-based ideas to bring broadcast into the new age. I’m an animated problem solver who values professionalism, with the occasional flair for the off-beat.
Supervising Podcast Producer
Global Journalist, KBIA
I pitch global news topics that resonate with English-speaking audiences and take a different approach compared to major networks. Leading up to the show, my job is to guide a group of assistant producers in research and guest selection. In the booth, I manage guests appearing live from around the world and direct the host.
KOMU 8 News
I write, stack and manage nightly newscasts that appeal to a mid-Missouri audience on deadline. My headlines and teases keep viewers engaged, leading them through the show. In the booth, I manage live reports while keeping an eye on the overall flow; and I catch any issues before they go to air.
Audio Production Intern
CN Video Production
Ensuring audio quality was my main priority at CN Video. I scripted, recorded and edited long-form podcasts as well as shorter video projects. When another intern was done with a video, they sent it to me for review of the audio editing. I also created a small sound studio from a former office, where people could record voicovers.
At the Columbia Missourian, I oversaw all things visual for web and print products. I helped to produce video projects filmed by our photographers and reporters. I delegated assignments to our staff, selected photos for publication and social media and edited those photos on a daily basis.
